Exercise Deficit Disorder – a threat to our successful return to sport after lockdown.

Exercise Deficit Disorder – a threat to our successful return to sport after lockdown.

Who else can’t wait to get back to sport!! My household is certainly keen - one 20 year old boy is desperate to return to training and playing with his mates, dad is sick of watching “8 out of 10 Cats does Countdown” instead of footy and this mum misses the catch-ups and cheering with the Ladies in the Grandstand. I am even yearning for a schnitzel with gravy and going home smelling like the chip fryer!!! However…this mum (who’s also a physio) is also a tad worried and it’s

    45 Second Desk Workout

In self-isolation? Working from home? Doing online school work? Whatever situation you’re in, I’m guessing your routine is upset, your desk is different to the one at work or school and you’re finding it hard to concentrate and keep focused. Sound familiar? These are challenging times for us all in different ways but I know when I’m working from home, I find I get distracted easily, I end up working from the couch with my laptop on my lap or I get engrossed in what I am d

If they are too easy for your fitness level you can make them harder with weights and increasing how many rotations/sets or repetitions you do. Fitness level - Me
    Are online Physio consults effective?

    Are online Physio consults effective?

What now?? It’s all good news this time. Necessity is the mother of invention they say and at Barossa Physiotherapy that is just what is happening. The COVID-19 Crisis has meant we have had to temporarily close our doors to In-Room Physiotherapy. Not to be kept down for long, we have been working long and hard to get TeleHealth up and running. In the Physio world we call it Digital Physiotherapy but it is the same thing. Clients need only a laptop or Smart Phone and a fre
    Digital Physio Coming Your Way

    Digital Physio Coming Your Way

Barossa Physiotherapy launched online services as of Monday 30th March after spending much of the last few weeks in preparation (and thankfully we have progressed well beyond our first trial of this using an ironing board). During our time of suspended in-room consultations, this is the only option available for our clients, so here is everything you ever needed to know! What is Telehealth? “Telehealth is the ability to convey a Medical or Health Consultation at a distance”.
